Do not be: concerned about transmitting anything related to the rabies vaccine you received. Rabies is a non-live vaccine and poses no risk to the recipients of blood. I suspect the reason you may have been told to wait a year after the vaccine is if you sustained a bite which prompted the vaccine. Blood donation is deferred in this situation, being VERY cautious. No: Many questions...surprised if you got rabies treatment for a cat scratch; almost always transmitted through a bite. If you are receiving prophylaxis/rabies vaccine to protect again future bites/exposures, also no concern with kissing. There is no transmission of disease from a human receiving rabies vaccine.
