This problem includes the intersection of other drugs and the disease itself. Best left to discuss with your oncologist, especially if this all gets worse. ...Read more
My daughter is 14 suffering from joint pain. She has positive ana..Negatve ra...No rash...Doctors wont diagnose with jra because lack of warmth and swelling to joints. What else could be going on?
Joint pain only: There is no blood test that can diagnose juvenile idiopathic arthritis. A positive ANA means nothing for the diagnosis of jia. Child must have joint swelling on exam or active synovitis on an MRI of the joint that must be done with IV contrast (mri without contrast cannot detect active arthritis unless it is advanced). Kids with suspected jia should be evaluated by a pediatric rheumatologist. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

How does RA contribute to the ankle tendonitis I am experiencing and why would tendonitis be in both ankles?
Chronic inflammation: Rhematoid arthritis will cause degenerative changes to the ankle joints resulting in the ankle functioning incorrectly. This will in turn cause overuse of the tendons surrounding the ankle joint and chronic inflammation. Injections of cortisone around the tendon can be helpful as well as antiiflammatories. An ankle brace would be helpful to stabilize the joint and orthotics to realign the joint. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
