Pain : It may be minor inflammation of the jts. Which does not produce positive blood tests. I would try an anti-inflammatory, Aleeve 400mg daily with food for 10 days. If this does not help I would see your physician again ...Read more

CTD & Lungs : With clinical features of lupus/ra, family history of lupus/ra, & blood tests indicating an underlying rheumatological disorder, most likely ra/lupus or another auto-immune disease process is present. Please see rheum: Please see a rheumatologist as soon as possible for a proper diagnosis. People with a strong family history of rheumatologic disease are more likely to develop it. Suspicious for SLE: Sounds suspicious for systemic lupus erythematosus if you have any 4 out of 11 diagnostic criteria. Negative ANA does not necessarily exclude the possibility of sle. what is important is to put the current symptoms into an overall context that includes blood tests, duration of symptoms, other illnesses, and medications, and to develop a treatment plan based on the total information.
