Depends: It depends on why you are taking it. If you are taking it to prevent manic episodes you are at risk for a manic episode (followed by a crash-depression) very risky business. Quit, and soon.: Are you really concerned that quitting smoking will affect your medications? The list of reasons to quit smoking is so long, and the potential benefits so great, any minor effect on your medications is negligible. If you are very concerned about this talk with the doctor who prescribed your Lamictal and Zoloft (sertraline). Regardless, at your age, if you stop smoking, your life will be so much better. ...Read more

Increased suffering: You haven't said why you're on the Lamictal & zoloft (sertraline). If bipolar, stopping the Lamictal especially could lead to more mood dysregulation. This does not necessarily mean death, but suicidal urges & attempts can occur. Your doctor would not want anything like this to happen to you, and would likely encourage you to continue the medicine. Lamictal & itch?: lamictal can cause a rash (SJS) that may be severe enough 2 b fatal. More common, any new med can cause a benign, but annoying rash (sometimes preceded by itch). bc there is a small chance that lamictal may cause the dangerous rash, MDs wisely stop the med if ANY new rash (or rash-like sx) develops. when will it pass? us. days. best way 2 know is have a dermatologist biopsy - 2 determine if SJS ...Read more
