Dont start back: You are a nicotine addict. Your subconscious wants you to start smoking. You are having withdrawal. Food temporarily helps. HOWEVER, you need to pick your fail points. I quit smoking weed started smoking cigarettes tried to smoke weed again had 1 anxiety attack but i can't smoke no more will the anxiety go away ?

Yes: The effects of smoking marijuana generally last just a few hours- the effects will wane hour by hour and within 6-8 hours you will likely be feeling no effect. However, it may feel like a much longer time if you are anxious. If your anxiety persists beyond this it is not directly caused by the marijuana. Taking magnesium glycinate or citrate & drinking tulsi tea should help calm you. See comment:. ...Read more

Im smoking cigarette so much.Daily 20+ ciggarette.I was starting before 2year ago.How to leave smoking.

Cold turkey.: As far as quitting without any nicotine replacement, the cold turkey method is great. But plan it ahead of time. Pick a quit date in advance, maybe a meaningful date like a birthday or holiday, and gather people who are aware of your attempt that you can call upon for moral support if you start to falter. Good luck!! ...Read more

I quit smoking weed started smoking cigarettes tried to smoke weed again now every time i try to smoke weed i get anxiety when will it disappear?

In a few hours: Your anxiety from smoking marijuana should disappear within a few hours as the effects of the marijuana dissipate, but will likely come back every time you smoke it. While most find cannabis to be calming, many react with anxiety. Possibly the combination of tobacco & cannabis is causing this; in either event stop smoking cigarettes-it's the best thing you can do for your health. See my comment:. ...Read more

I need support quit smoking, but cheated today?

Not a Failure: There will be stumbling blocks along the way. Most studies suggest not trying to quit all at once but gradually as you use all the aids available to you, including enrolling in smoking cessation program. It is a chemical addiction/dependence and didn't get that way overnight so the urge will not go away overnight. Important point is to want to quit, have plan and work toward completing the plan. ...Read more

When nicotine receptors will be gone after quitting smoking?

Got it backwards : Nicotine (nicotinic) receprors are so named because they have an affinity for bonding with nicotine. That's where nicotine exerts its effects. They were there before you started using nicotine, and will be there after you stop. Think of any other receptor site that has an affinity for a specific biochemical (serotonin, dopamine, endorphin, acetylcholine, gaba, etc). ...Read more

Nice job: Lots of people say goodbye to cigs and don't look back, with no difficulty. Problem is, lots more have withdrawal symptoms for 4 weeks or longer. Why is it so hard to stop smoking? (i have finally quit)

Why is it so hard to stop smoking? (i have finally quit)

Congratulations!: Many reasons. 1st, nicotine is a very addictive substance. Beyond that, the psycho/social habit elements are a perfect storm - it involves so many sensory components - smell, taste, feel, sight even a bit of sound. But a part i've discovered when helping patients is the breath pattern. The deep inhale, holding in and long, full exhale are really good for us (just skip the smoke). Folk miss that! ...Read more

Probably but try:: I have no doubt that green tea would be healthier to smoke than cigarettes but not much is really known about it- see http://www.smokingeffectson.com/effects-of-smoking-tea-good-or-bad/ However, if you want to smoke herbs there are many with a long history of safe use and a variety of possible benefits- see http://tinyurl.com/l4wgrrl & http://www.marijuanaalternatives.com/smokingherbs.htm ...Read more
