I hear this ringing sound for like two seconds almost every month in my lifted ear only could it be my unborn child's heartbeat I'm hearing I need phe?
Tinnitus: 2 seconds every month seems like a rare event to me. It's unlikely that ringing sound is fetal heartbeat. If worried, time rate of ringing sound. Fetal heart rate is 120-160 beats per minute or 2-3 beats per second. Check out http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/tinnitus/basics/definition/con-20021487 for more info. ...Read more

Does tinnitus reduce the ability to hear well? Everything sounds a bit muffled from my left ear. I have ringing but why isn't the hearing well?
See an ENT ASAP: There are a few things that can cause the symptoms you are noticing, including TMJ disorder or cranio-mandibular disorders. Tinnitus, ear fullness and decreased hearing can also be symptoms of serious ear problems such as otosclerosis, meniere's disease and acoustic neuroma. I recommend you see an ENT for evaluation before writing it off as jaw, or TMJ related. ...Read more

Worrisome young heart hey, i had a friend that, while running, heard his heart beating in his ear, my first idea was pulsatile tinnitus, but later he explained that he could hear it stop for a few seconds. Not just a simple beat skip but literally stop. H
Hello. : Hello. You really are a worrisome young heart. I have felt/ heard my heart beating around my temples a number of times when i was really exerting myself. From what you describe he was well with no symptoms. Because he did not hear his heart for a few seconds, it may have been beating or may have had a brief pause. If your friend develops problems with irregular heart rhythm patterns in the future, he has chest discomfort, difficulty breathing, chest tightness, those would be definite reasons to see a doctor. What you are describing doesn't really sound abnormal. Take care. ...Read more

Had shingles in ear and head 4mos ago. Lost hearing, still have heavy headedness and lost equalibrium will this ever go away will the tinnitus ever go?
See an ENT: If you haven't already you should see an ENT doctor. The hearing is unlikely to be restored at this point but you might benefit from a hearing aid or other treatment. Your balance is likely not "accommodating" well (the other inner ear taking over for this one) given that you're still dizzy... A course of "vestibular" physical therapy may be the answer to get you moving around normally again. ...Read more
