Can bacterial/acute gastroenteritis be transmitted to my girlfriend if i kiss her? I'm currently in the last stages of my treatment.

I am 21 year old male and get 8-10 infections a year like common cold, gastroenteritis. It always goes without treatment. Should I be concerned though?
I have had 7 infections so far this year, most viral like cold and gastroenteritis. I never need treatment. But I'm concerned I have immune problem?!

Chronic stress will weaken the immune system as will lack of sleep--but I think u need a formal evaluation to make sure there's nothing else seriously wrong. Obviously paying attention to hygiene should help- try hand washing frequently, avoid handshakes etc. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

What is more effective in PREVENTMENT/treatment of nausea and vomiting due to viral gastroenteritis? Metoclopramide or Zofran?
Nausea~: hello~ Zofran is reserved for severe nausea that accompanies chemotherapy, so I would use something safer and first line like Compazine, which would work better than metaclopamide, but metaclopamide can be used in mild cases. You will need to ask your doc for a script for Compazine. thanks ...Read more
