UA is also known as Urinalysis. A ua is a urinalysis, or chemical and microscopic analysis of the urine. Pyelonephritis, infected kidneys and urinalysis indicated traces of protein. Are these worrying signs?
Make sure goes away: Typically with a pyelonephritis some protein is spilled into the urine because the tubules that are infected lose function and are unable to resorb protein spilled into the urine. Make sure the urine protein is gone after you complete your therapy. Obviously make sure that your symptoms of the kidney infection (aka pyelonephritis) goes away. ...Read more
Have low back more of cramp nagging pain like the ones when starting labor + headache, on and off for a week.Urinalysis normal. Is it pyelonephritis?
Is it possible to have acute pyelonephritis with a negative CT scan, urinalysis pos for infection, flank pain, nausea/vomiting, fever?

Maybe: The pediatrician seeing this 7 m.O. Baby knows best. Depending on the organism cultured and the manner in which the culture was obtained, this may be pyelonephritis, but could also be systemic infection with bacteria in the blood creating urinary tract infection secondarily. The nature of the organism, duration of the infection and the manner in which it was treated will determine damages. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
If i had a kidney infection from untreated UTI and my kidneys started to fail, what would a dipstick urinalysis show?
6 mos old with three day fever of 104, WBC 24000, all else normal. Urinalysis normal but dr still thinks its kidney infection. Possible? If not, what?
Wind/wound/water: In med school we were taught to look at the lungs/a wound/or the urine for the source of unexplained fever. In a 6mo girl i would consider a uti, less so for a boy but possible. The urine might be clear to initial look, but should show growth of any germ within 24 hrs.Stress can increase the WBC count & some viruses can produce high fevers for days. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
