Just a thought. I don't do this but is it ok or safe to put hand sanitizer down there after wiping to prevent uti.
So far I ate some soup, put chapstick medicated and lypsol on it, cut it open put hand sanitizer on it then petroleum jelly. What should I do next?
Healing open wounds: The real question is what not to do that slows down healing. Avoid using alcohol, peroxide, hibiclens, betadine, and bleach solutions. Inflammation (red, hot, swollen, tender) is important to healing so anti-inflammatories (motrin, advil) are bad. Cover the area with a clean dressing changed every other day and protected from trauma. Antibiotics do not help healing unless it is truly infected. ...Read more

Put hand sanitizer on outside of cheese while still sealed w/ plastic. Went to eat some & it tasted like hand sanitizer.19 w preg. Could it hurt baby?
Minimal ingestion: I think you will be fine; obviously there are no studies on this to guarantee the lack of harm, but it's highly unlikely with such a small amount. The only known harm is likely the small amount of alcohol in the sanitizer, but your pregnancy is so far enough along that this should not matter. Relax. It's going to be fine. ...Read more

I put hand sanitizer around my groin anus area and it really burned. I also tried putting cologne and other things and it always burns. Why sensitive?
The surface cells: Or epithelium of the scrotum/anus in men and perineum in women are non-keratinized. The external layer of keratin present in most epithelial cells provides somewhat of a water barrier. Without this keratinized layer, the numerous nerve endings present are exposed to the environment. Remember, this sensitivity has a lot of benefit when it comes to pleasurable intimacy. Stay well:) ...Read more

I was working on a computer in a library with a very dirty keyboard. Then, I just put a little hand sanitizer on and went to eat w/ my hands. Is this ok?
Yes: All keyboards are dirty, though usually undetectable to unaided eye, while some are grossly filthy. However, unless you have open cuts or sores on fingertips, it's unlikely that you'll pick up any infection from dirty keyboard. Washing your hands is always a good idea before eating (and especially after using toilet!). Use of hand sanitizer is a reasonable substitute between hand washing. ...Read more

OUCH!: That type of hand sanitizer is 63% ethyl alcohol or ethanol. Ethanol is the same alcohol found in spirits and liquors and beer and wine. It will sting and probably used sparingly will not harm a very superficial cut but id keep it out of deep cuts. Gentle washing with soap and water is effective. It also contains water, isopropyl alcohol, glycerin, carbomer, fragrance, aminomethyl propanol, etc. ...Read more
