Please explain the best way to use eye drops for glaucoma. Leave eyes shut for 2 minutes putting drop in eye?
Can see videos: Online. But best way is whatever gets a single drop into the eye (cul-de-sac or lid lake without touching the bottle to the lid or contaminating tip) without missing the eye either, followed by keeping the eye closed or covering the tear duct for a minute or two to keep the medicine from exiting the lacrimal tear drain. Blepharitis n dry eyes. For 2 months used eye mask 2x/day- microwave 10sec, put 5 mins. Reduced to 1x. Eyes very red everytime after eye mask. Stop?
Don't use eye mask: with microwave heat. 10 seconds may not seem like much, but what is most effective is moist warm/hot compresses applied from sink tap water, and applying it to your eyelids for 5 mins. That means reapplying the compresses again when it cools down. You will need to see an eye doctor to have them give you a prescription ointment, and see what's really causing your blepharitis thru microscope. ...Read more

Dry air: Most airline cabins are pressurized to feel as if they're about 8000 feet in altitude. As such, the air is very, very dry. Keep using your drops, and consider closing your eyes (maybe using a sleep mask) and sleeping while you listen to some music. There is a moistening ointment, I believe, which might last longer than the drops while you're flying. ...Read more

If the lesions are : Only on the eye lids - i would be doubtful that they were bedbugs. Bites are usually in areas that are exposed while sleeping-arms, shoulders, neck & legs. I can only describe bed bug bites in general (not specific to eye area). Bed bug bites may cause no sx's/signs in some except for 2 small points where skin was punctured by bedbug. When there's a reaction, it may show from an hour to several >. ...Read more

Dear eye experts/ ophthalmologist:for evaporate dry eye, i can't do warm eye compress. Would washing and massaging eyes 5 min in shower be equivalent?
Maybe: The warm compresses may be used in the shower. I feel that it is the abrasive action of the washcloth combined with the detergent action of the baby shampoo that improves the blepharitis. Try this out and see. For the evaporativ dry eye, use a good artificial tear for lubrication. Keeping the blepharitis under control will help the dry eye. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Yes conjunctiva absorbs drops ...Read more
Depends: There might be some improvement if you are hyperopic (need + (plus) lenses) in which case correction with the proper glasses or contacts could move the drifting eye outwards to match the other eye better. If you do not need glasses or need - (minus) lenses, this will not work. Check with your ophthalmologist to see if you are a candidate. ...Read more
