A small ball of pus in mouth in right cheek?

Dr. Should evaluate: A doctor or a dentist can evaluate a problem in the teeth, gums, or cheeks (although a dentist is likely the better choice for teeth and gums problems). Pus in the cheeks usually means some infection, and the doctor may prescribe antibiotics. If the infection spreads, it may go throughout the face, and more seriously, maybe into the sinuses and towards the brain. Getting treatment is wise. ...Read more

I have a severe toothache and a big pus pocket in the roof of my mouth is that an abscess?

It Sounds Like It.: If you are feeling a pus pocket in the roof of your mouth, it usually means there is an abscess in the lingual/palatal root of an upper tooth. You want to see your dentist or endodontist (root canal specialist) to examine, diagnose and treat your abscess. I got a hard bump on the roof of my mouth and then it was soft and slightly painfull pus came out of it and it healed now its back same place. Herpes?

Mouth pustule: The fact that your roof of mouth hard bump softened and drained pus argues strongly for a pustule (bacterial infection) rather than an herpetic sore. But then again the fact that you now have the bump back again in the same area makes recurrent herpetic sores a possibility. You should see your internist so that the sore can be visualized and treated. ...Read more

I had a deeper pimple near my mouth that hurt so bad & I popped it. But there's no more pus, it's a little red, swollen. Would putting abreva on it help?

No difference: Abreva is the cold sore medication. The lesson you have described is acne/pimple. Acne is the most common skin disease for adolescents. When otc acne treatments just don't seem to do the job, don't despair - your local dermatologist has another bag of tricks. Do not pop the pimple - there is a risk you may push the infection further down. ...Read more

Burning mouth syndrome wrecked my my mouth. Teeth are crumbling and have an infection with pus. Multiple sites. On cipro (ciprofloxacin). Is this an appropriate drug?

Burning mouth syndro: Burning mouth syndrome does not cause crumbling teeth or gum infections. Dry mouth due to lack or loss of saliva can cause rampant decay if there is poor oral hygiene. Infections with pus sounds like gum disease, but may be due to a systemic disease.
