If however they are of recent onset they could represent a condition called vasculitis which is an allergic reaction to a drug, or possible underlying infection. ?? poison ivy: Some people are more sensitive or resistant to poison ivy than others, and it is common for people who had hardly any reactivity when younger to the plant (literally rubbing themselves with poison ivy-- don't try this btw- causes no reaction) to begin to get some sensitivity when older. 40 is an age when this can happen. Investiagte: Need to find out if you were bit by anything....Bed bites? Insects? ....Are you taking any new meds you may be allergic....Anyways a Hydrocortisone with alo vera over the counter can help for inflammation. ...Read more

Watchful waiting: What you described is not worrisome, however it is worth watching, i.e, keep an eye on such lesions to see if more are developing. At your next visit to your doctor you should ask her/him to look at the lesions, if any are present at the time. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. ...Read more
