Need X-Ray Vision: Could be either or something else. To be sure, the hand should be examined in-person and a decision made as to what to do , especially at this age. Would be important to know the exact circumstances of the injury, if any, or if it was from repetitive activities. White spots on hands: Do you have exposure to chemicals or foliage? Could be contact dermatitis or eczema. Alternatively could be fungal, though that is less common.
