I've just developed small purple spots on the top and bottom of my eyelid, what does this mean?, will this go away?
Have it checked by: Your eye doctor under a slit lamp. That would be the best to see what it actually is for diagnosis. Hard to say from this as you need to provide more info and medical and ocular history. How long it's been going on? Which eye or both eyes? What exposure to anything, previous infections? Probably bruise: Without a photo, I'll be guessing. I suspect a bruise of the upper eyelid may have occurred. Often painless and self limited, usually the result of running the eyelid. Other considerations would be a insect bite, vascular lesion, sty, nevus, dermatological condition to name a few. You really need to: Have this checked out! Your eye doctor can see it iunder a slit lamp microscope and tell you exactly what's going on.
