I'm 62 and every now and then I get these redish purple spots on my arms, they don't bleed but look close to bleeding, what causes this?
Get is checked pleas: It is difficult to assess without looking at these spots It might be due to pressure on the arm, or due to blood problems resulting in reducing number of Platelets (tiny pieces that helps preventing bleeding) in the blood. Check bruises out: It sounds like those are bruises, or blood vessels that are breaking. Without trauma as a cause, they could be from a bleeding problem from disease (like liver, or blood abnormality) or medications (like Aspirin or similar drugs, or coumadin) or even some kinds of cancers (leukemia). Or they just happen! Best to be checked out.

Your description: Applies to a number of skin problems but I would "vote for" FUNGAL cause. Sometimes SPECIFIC TREATMENT and sometimes ORAL ANTI-FUNGALS are indicated! Best to have it: Checked out. Hard to guess what those spots are without seeing them. How long has this been going on and they would appear exactly a day or so after he has the milk? Do they go away by itself? Does it look like hives? Have you documented those spots? Do take pictures so you can show them to the doctor.
