Get is checked pleas: It is difficult to assess without looking at these spots It might be due to pressure on the arm, or due to blood problems resulting in reducing number of Platelets (tiny pieces that helps preventing bleeding) in the blood. Your doctor should be able to check the spots and arrange some testing to find the cause.

I get purple spots on my hands and my arms but not from hiting them on anything.?

I get purple spots on my hands and my arms but not from hiting them on anything.?

Check bruises out: It sounds like those are bruises, or blood vessels that are breaking. Without trauma as a cause, they could be from a bleeding problem from disease (like liver, or blood abnormality) or medications (like Aspirin or similar drugs, or coumadin) or even some kinds of cancers (leukemia). Or they just happen! Best to be checked out.

I am experiencing skin rash (quality: bumpy, red or bluish purple, ring shaped). Brown spots on arms?

Your description: Applies to a number of skin problems but I would "vote for" FUNGAL cause. Sometimes SPECIFIC TREATMENT and sometimes ORAL ANTI-FUNGALS are indicated! In other words get it checked out as soon as practicable by your PCP who may want to refer you to a Board Certified Dermatologist!!! Hope this helps Dr Z

Hello. I'm here to ask about a small greenish/purple spot on my arm. It was from where an i.V needle was placed. It does not hurt. Just odd to me.

Bruising: It is just some bruising (blood under the skin) from the iv. As your body breaks down blood under the skin, it changes color and will eventually disappear.

See a doctor: The purple spots you describe may be bleeding under the skin. Please see a doctor for examination and appropriate tests.

What would cause the site of a blood draw to be very painful and bruised bright purple-blotchy in more than 1 spot? Infection? Pain radiates whole arm

What would cause the site of a blood draw to be very painful and bruised bright purple-blotchy in more than 1 spot? Infection? Pain radiates whole arm

Blood draw: Blood draw should not be painful after. IN the light that your whole arm hurts I think you may have developed CRPS/RSD - please go see a Pain Specialist with an Anesthesia background so that you may get the righy care

Keratosis pilaris: Keratosis pilaris is a chronic skin condition that affects the hair follicles on the upper outer arms and outer thighs. It is a form of acne/folliculitis. It makes the skin appear very bumpy, rough, and discolored. There is no cure but it can be improved by using exfoliants and scrubs containing lactic acid, urea, glycolic acid. Also using a loofah regularly helps.

Petichiae: These sound as if they may be ecchymoses (deep bruises with bleeding visible thru skin), but might be something else. Not due to stress or anxiety. See a doctor for more specific diagnosis.

Best to have it: Checked out. Hard to guess what those spots are without seeing them. How long has this been going on and they would appear exactly a day or so after he has the milk? Do they go away by itself? Does it look like hives? Have you documented those spots? Do take pictures so you can show them to the doctor.
