The hand is cold, then go to er asap, as it is a serious condition, needing emergency treatment. Its very important to confirm or exclude this condition.
Otherwise, you might have a ruptured blood vessel causing the swelling, tightness, numbness ; bluish/purplish discoloration of the hand/fingers.
Keep the hand elevated and exercise to prevent it from getting stiff.
