Worried about you: First of all, if you don't feel safe, send me or any physician on this site a message. I recommend ibuprofen 600 MG three times a day with food for about a week. Depending on the severity, it could be days or weeks for swelling to come down. Read more

Yes. ...: You should see someone if the headache is getting worse since one need to rule out a subdural hematoma. Okay, so I punched a hole in my wall 6 days ago. It was 2 1/5 to 3 inches of sheetrock. It started swelling words each day. Could it be broken?

Yes: You could absolutely have a fracture, though the swelling can definitely occur without fracture as well. The only way to find out is to have x-rays of your hand. If you are having any difficulty moving your hand, wrist or fingers, or if you have any numbness/tingling etc., you should get an x-ray done. And, stop punching walls. You lose that fight every time. I punched a wall a couple days ago and there's a dent in my knuckle and it's swelling but it doesn't hurt unless I touch it. What's wrong with it?

Self control: Hi. I'm glad it was a wall and not a person, but still losing control of yourself and behaving irrationally can hurt someone, including you. Please consider your ability to control yourself, and seek counseling if indicated. As for the hand, an X-ray to make sure there's no fracture would not be a bad idea. Peace and good luck. Read more
