It is tempting to: think that this is an "atypical migraine" triggered after an intimate sexual encounter, but it's atypical indeed. Plus, you're already on preventive therapy for migraine. The fact that Advil (ibuprofen) helped is reassuring but doesn't not alleviate my concerns completely. Please see a doctor about this. Not likely related: Nosebleeds are only rarely related to headaches, except in cases of very high blood pressure or severe sinus infection (sinus tumors are even more rare). A unilateral throbbing headache in a young lady is very likely to be migraine.
