Costochondritis....: Costochondritis is caused by inflammation of the cartilage of the chest wall. Anti-inflammatory meds, like ibuprofen, are given to relieve the pain of the inflammation. Physical therapy modalities can also be helpful so have your doctor send you to physical therapy for evaluation and treatment. ...Read more
The brain and spinal cord communicates with what is occurring in the internal organs and limbs by nerve fibers where are like electrical wires with insulation (myelin) and the "copper" (axon). Swollen and painful lymph node in groin. Also thigh pain on same side, pain started after possibly pulling a muscle. Are the two related to injury?
Groin/thigh pain: Usually a pulled muscle does not cause lymph node swelling. Lymph nodes usually swell in infection rarely in tumor. Groin LN usually drain the leg/ vaginal/vulva area. Also consider possible clot/hematoma( bleeding into soft tissue from trauma) if thigh pain ( though clots usually don't cause LN swelling). Would seek medical attention today, one can get an infection rather easily and quickly ...Read more

Not necessarily: A calf with a DVT can be red and swollen but it certainly doesn't have to be. Redness with dvts is actually fairly uncommon. Swelling and pain is more typical but sometimes you might only have one or the other or neither. R/O biceps: If u were lifting something rather heavy and felt pull or 'pop' and pain and bruising is felt in lower arm or front of elbow( antecubital fossa) then a biceps strain or rupture should be ruled out.@ age 54 this can happen and generally needs to be re-attached or u will lose elbow flexion strength and much supinating( palming up) power. Can an untreated swollen spinal cord cause same symptoms as multiple sclerosis and if so can the nerve damage and muscle weakness be made better?
Perhaps: Spinal cord swelling can be secondary to variety of causes, such as neuromyelitis optica, trauma, MS, tumors, and could cause localized symptoms indistinguishable from your MS. (Have you had an anti-aquaporin 4 test?) Typically might treat with steroids, but this would make your diabetes temporarily worse. Acthar might create a lesser complication. Check for NMO prior to starting MS med. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
