Pulling at ear is a symptom in which a child is pulling on one or both ear lobes, occasionally or more often. The child may have ear discomfort (such as in an ear infection), or he may be pulling on his ears just for fun.

As long as infant remains afebrile and playful, "wait and watch" approach for 2 weeks is reasonable. Crying Babies: There is nothing more aggravating as seeing your child in pain or misery. But, it sounds like the crying has subsided today? If it has then waiting is fine. But if not i would want to know if the child is having a fever? Eating? Lethargic?
