Surgical operation done on tendon on my arm 5 months ago. Should the arm be just as strong as the other side?

Not always: Quite a few things play a role in achieving strength. Which tendon (hand vs biceps vs rotator cuff- the more proximal tend to take longer to recover). How long you had to protect it before starting rehab, and (brace yourself) whether you did your exercises as dilligently as you were supposed to. I'd talk with the surgeon who did the repair and ask this same question. Get a second opinion if unsure. ...Read more

Pain also often radiates away from the center of the body in the pattern you describe. If the pain is severe talk to your doctor about treatment options. ...Read more

3 day after surgery to repair complete torn pec tendon 5cm retract how long b4 pain subsides and I'm unsure if I am supporting arm in sling properly ?

U need to talk it --: over with your surgeon, as all of us have our own postop routines that we follow. Your surgeon is the only one who knows the type of repair, the quality of your tissues, and the repair he obtained. Anyway 3 days is too short a time that pain should subside. Generally pain from the incision itself will last for a minimum of 2 weeks or so. Good Luck. ...Read more
