Can i take tylenol (acetaminophen) or Advil with blood pressure medicine? I was exercising and now I have sore muscles

Tylenol (acetaminophen) : Tylenol (acetaminophen) is safer to take if you have hypertension since it has no effect on the kidneys. Advil (ibuprofen) and all other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications can effect the kidney's production of prostaglandins which can cause a rise in blood pressure. Follow prescribing directions and avoid excessive use of tylenol (acetaminophen) since high doses can cause liver damage. ...Read more

This : This question is posted under the OB section; if you are pregnant with those symptoms then you need to call your doctor and be seen immediately. If you are not pregnant, then tylenol (acetaminophen) and advil are fine to try. Try to think back if there is any reason you could be sore such as heavy lifting. If you developed worse pain, spinal pain, any numbness or weakness, changes in bowel or bladder control, or any abdominal pain then please be seen immediately. ...Read more

Which one is stronger... Ibuprofen 800 mg or vicodin 7.5/300 mg?? Which one should i start with for a pulled muscle in my shoulder

Recommend Ibuprofen: For muscle stains, recommend an anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen (Motrin) or naproxen (Aleve). Narcotics, like Vicodin, are only pain relievers and do nothing for inflammation brought on by a strain. Vicodin also has other undesirable side effects like constipation, drowsiness, and is not advised for a muscle strain. ...Read more

I would avoid using the steroids without first seeing your medical pro ...Read more
