Had lavh 18 months ago. Over last few months been getting sharp aching pains all across pubic area. Pain can get worse when weeing or pooing.

I probably would start with ruling out a urinary tract infection first. It might be of value to ask your gyn if you had a mild rectocoele or cystocoele as these can get worse with time especially if overweight. A last thought might be vaginal cuff prolapse. ...Read more

Is it normal for Accutane to cause pubic bone pain? (the pain is right above my bladder, could also be muscle pain, seems to be worse after sex.)

Don't think so: There is a small piece of cartridge called the pubic symphysis the can get inflamed. Try a different position so that area gets less pressure. Also the bladder is in there and if peeing more or having pain could be a contributor. I don't think the accutaine is adding to the problem but google it and stay off the complaint patient page. Look for pain in bone or cartlidge, not just pubic bone. ...Read more

I have pubic bone pain and urinary frequency. Doctor ordered a transvaginal ultrasound that came back clear. Could it be ovarian cancer? (age28, brca)

Probably not: It is very unlikely to have ovarian cancer at 28yo. A negative ultrasound doesn't necessarily rule it out but is a good indicator that the ovaries are ok at this time. Hi I have a buzzing vibrating feeling to the far left side of my pubic bone, no pain just buzzing, what could this be?

Other people report: In trying to research your symptom of buzzing, I have learned it is not uncommon. It is more common in women who have a coil-like IUD in place, but it occurs in others as well. The mechanism must involve a small nerve, similar to an eyelid twitch. I don't believe it is the sign of something more ominous down the road, such as MS. It can be classified as a minor annoyance, and you can be reassured. ...Read more
