I have an ortho appointment to look at my knee. Pain 7-9, no medication relief, burning and numbness. They have my x-rays, nothing has been broken what should I expect as a pt. On my first visit?
There are a number of reasons as to why you may be having knee pain. The orthopedic surgeon will need to have a detailed history followed by a physical examination, which will shed light as to possible causes of your pain. If they deem it necessary they may refer you to physical therapy or consider further imaging with an mri.

I am due soon. Drs won't see me im too far along, don't take my insurance or no appts soon. What do I do. I'm being denied prenatal care. Found out late.
Still ok, because: In the old days, no one got prenatal care, women still had child-births. You already had 6 births, so you should be able to draw from prior experiences. The difference is higher risk, that is why prenatal care is highly recommended. Ask your doctor what he/she recommends in your situation. Even if no ob/gyn doctor will take you now, you can ask your primary care or family medicine doctor. ...Read more

Concerning: Given your cancer history, your doc is likely concerned this may be related. The other imaging tests (pet/mri) will confirm this and see if there is spread anywhere else in your body (staging). Your doc will also want a biopsy of the 2 cm mass so a pathologist can determine exactly what it is. This helps determine treatment. The questions/answers will come after all the tests are done. ...Read more
Cat scan showed 2 mm mass beside aorta. Gen. Doc wants pet/mri/other tests & other specialist appts set up. What? S should I be asking?
2 mm, really?:
If the mass is really 2 mm, it is too small for pet. If it is 2 cm, then pet may be helpful.
? S to ask - what organ is it originating from - if the aorta, consider a consult with a cardiologist.
? - was it seen on any older scans - if, in retrospect, it was there 2 years ago and unchanged, then it is probably benign.
