I'm taking guaifenesin pseudoephedrine and codeine. Will these make me feel different than usual?

I'm taking guaifenesin pseudoephedrine and codeine. Will these make me feel different than usual?

Can I take following ingredients together? Ibuprofen 400mg, guaifenesin 1200mg and pseudoephedrine 60mg. Thanks

You can: But you have to know the maximum dose you can take a day of each of these medicines and their side effect. Ibuprofen for pain has to be taken with food. Guaifenesin to loosen secretions, and pseudo Ephedrine (ephedrine sulfate) for decongestant with side effect of rapid heart rate, anxiety and increase BP temporarily. Also consider all the precautions for pregnancy and ulcer, etc. They don't have interactions. ...Read more

Would pseudoephedrine as found in Mucinex (guaifenesin) D affect the results of a free and total testosterone test?

Would pseudoephedrine as found in Mucinex (guaifenesin) D affect the results of a free and total testosterone test?

Probably not, but: Pseudoephedrine PE, is very common in nasal and cold meds. It is a stimulant. It probably won't change the blood level of T. But it has many side effects if taken in excessive doses. Google it and read some comments. Just like many good meds etc. Too much is not good ...Read more

No: 3.5 ounces of Robitussin (guaifenesin) is an excessive dose in and of itself (usual dose is 15-30 ml, which is 1/2-1 oz). Combining this with 2 vicodin increases the chance of toxic effects. Follow instructions on otc medications if you want to use them safely, and tell the doctor prescribing the vicodin about your use of other medications with it. ...Read more

Yes: This is fine to take together and some companies will package these drugs together into 1 pill. The sudafed is a great decongestant and the Mucinex (guaifenesin) can help break up the mucus in your nose/sinues/lungs. Not sure what to take? Sudafed or Mucinex (guaifenesin). Trying to get over nasty residual effects of flu, I.e phlegm and congestion.

Meds for flu symptom: Sudafed (the kind you may have to sign for at the pharmacy) helps relieve congestion by shrinking the tiny blood vessels in the nose. Not okay if you have uncontrolled high blood pressure.

ETD: You can take Mucinex (guaifenesin) DM with Sudafed, but I don't know why you would do that. The dextromethorphan in the Mucinex (guaifenesin) is for a cough suppressant. You're better off taking Mucinex (guaifenesin) D and take one medication to treat the problem. Additionally, you could purchase Nasacort AQ over the counter and use a nasal steroid spray to help your ETD symptoms ...Read more
