Observation: This will probably just be observed. If you are not on the pill, you get an ovulation chat every month. After ovulation, it is complex appearing (corpus luteum). It is around 2 cm. No: There are many reasons a 13 cm cyst needs to be removed by surgery: unknown type, rupture, torsion, ... often the cyst can be removed without removing the ovary.
