What does it mean when your veins are protruding in your hands and you feel swelling in your hands?
To link: Both your complaints, swelling&protruding veins I can think of only one single condition: pressure on the root of draining veins. Since ur speaking in plural (veins and hands) this basically is an anatomic impossibility as your face should be swollen and blue too. If just one hand, I would check ur rm pit or look for a condition called thoracic outlet syndrome. C ur dr. ...Read more
I have buldging hard veins in the tops of my hands and top/bottom of my feet made worse by physical activity (eg biking) and also worse at night?
Hard to say:
Without an actual examination, I cannot give specific medical advice on your particular health,
Dermatologic conditions are hard to evaluate without seeing them in person.
Veins get bigger with more use. They can scar if they are injured, but thin athletic people who use their limbs typically have veins that are big and stand out without anything being wrong. ...Read more

R neck / parathesia: Is the numbness only on the right side or both sides? Would get a carotid doppler on the neck, check for diabetes, TSH/ T4, B12, magnesium, lyme if you had a toxic exposure lead/ arsenic test. Consider MRI of head and neck if all else is negative. The neck pain could be cervical, vein popping due to increase in pressure (like when we raise our voices) f/u w/doc ...Read more
Hi doctor, have buldging veins in my hands n feet, not painful but look ugly. Ist normal?? Yes am slender but it has not been like that before. Am 2
Most likely normal:
If the veins are not painful, non tender and deflate when you elevate above the level of your heart, they are more of a cosmetic issue than a medical one. If any of the above mentioned things are true, then you should have a medical provider examine these veins for clot or phlebitis (inflammation). Best of luck!

Hands and veins very swollen and painful. My hands and feet often swell (due to stimulants?) but this is extreme. Veins on hands bulge more than feet
Discuss w/ provider: The provider who prescribed the stimulants needs to know about this symptom and consider if it is a side effect or something else. In any case, that can lead to a corrective plan. Perhaps alternatives to long term stimulants can be found - they play rough w/ bodies over time. Call ASAP and best wishes for resolving this. ...Read more
All of my veins in my feet and hands are suddenly popping out and pulsing I can feel it and see it. I am 53 yo female and got a perfect health report.
May be serious: I see this question submitted twice. I'm guessing you are very concerned. If you are having any shortness of breath or chest pressure, or jaw ache, I would take an aspirin and call an ambulance now. Feeling a bounding pulse can mean heart palpitations. If you are completely comfortable then it may not be important. Women' heart attack symptoms are sometimes unrecognized. Be cautious. Good luck! ...Read more

I have very large veins on top of my feet and hands. What will happen if it's ever cut? Those on my feet can be traced up to my ankle bone
April thru october veins have become much more noticeable in arms/hands/feet. There are more every day. 24 y.O woman. Bcp changes/withdrawal related?
Not pathologic: The warm summer months results in vasodilation (relax) of veins allowing for release of heat from the body, hence making the veins "appear" more prominent. Exercise program contributes to this, but not bcp. Recent pregnancy is another risk factor. Prominent veins are generally not a bad sign, especially when present throughout the body parts. ...Read more

Why do my veins in my hands and feet always swell whenever I am cleaning, walking, doing anything that involves movement. Feet go red, n I get a headache?
Exercise: Exertion induces increased blood flow to the area involved and this in turn leads to increase in the volume of blood returning to the heart/lung through your veins thus accounting for the swelling. I have no idea why your legs get red but the posture you assume during exertion may be a cause for your headache. Try to keep you neck position as erect as possible and see if this helps. ...Read more

Is it normal to have bulging veins in your feet, legs, arms, hands if you are skinny and fit for the most part? I'm 24 year old male 158lbs 5"11
Yes: Skinny people have less subcutaneous fat which makes veins more visible. Men tend to have bigger more noticeable veins and physically active people have larger veins to handle the volume of blood required to oxygenate active peripheral muscle in the body. So active men have bigger veins generally than inactive men and most women and in skinny people veins are more apparent. You are normal. ...Read more
