Protonix (pantoprazole) S.E.'s: Protonix (pantoprazole) is a very well tolerated medication, but in the short term it and other proton pump inhibitors can cause a number of dose-dependent side effects including commonly headache and diarrhea. Can a person take 3 protonix (pantoprazole) pills and a Zactac 150 pill around the same time?

Wouldn't want to: protonix (pantoprazole) works by permanently inactivating the acid secretion by the stomach and this has to grow back before the pills action stops. More protonix (pantoprazole) cannot do more effect at one time. With acid secretion broken by protonix (pantoprazole) unlikely zantac could do anything. ...Read more

Gastritis: 28 year old lady with concerns about gastritis after prednisone treatment. The most important step is to visit your physician to get a full exam and rule out H. Pylori as cause of gastritis, then, if sx persist then a scope by GI doc is indicated. Limit consumption of alcohol or any foods that worsen your symptoms. You can add Pepto/Milk of Magnesia to see if it helps coat your stomach as well. ...Read more
