Depends: everyone responds differently to medications. The bystolic (nebivolol) is a b1 selective drug . This limits side effects. The propranolol is a non selective beta blocker. This may be better at lowering blood pressure but may have more side effects. Yes: Beta-blockers like propanolol need to be weaned off gradually, or your system will be overly stimulation to beta stimulation (your own adrenaline). Consider cutting the dose in half for a week, then a fourth for another week, then every other day for 4-6 days before stopping. You can ask for a smaller capsule strength, or buy empty gelatin capsules and split the dose. ...Read more

Probably Fine: If you are basically healthy (no heart or lung problems) this should be fine, however I am a bit curious about the choice of treatment. Have you had a diagnostic evaluation of your anxiety? Beta blockers help with the physical symptoms of anxiety but may not help the cognitive (worried thoughts) symptoms. ...Read more
