Many side effects: Also known as darvon/darvocet most pain physicians have stopped rx. Basically works on opioid receptors but linked to overdose if taken with alcohol and other sedatives . There is a black box warning for increased risk of suicide and should not be taken by actively depressed individual. Not a pain killer i would recommend. ...Read more

Depends on what you: are really asking. Firstly, darvon isn't even available legally in this country, mainly because it 1) doesn't work and is essentially a placebo and 2) it caused a number of heart rhythm problems. It can however cause overdose and addiction. I don't even know if it is tested for in most testing kits. It is a short-acting drug but its metabolites stick around and can be detected for 2-4 days. ...Read more

I worry about this: Please consult your doctor. See also drugs.Com interactions. Propoxyphene is the more dangerous of the two. Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl) has strong sedation too as well as an antidepressant-like effect. I worry this combination could mess you up. It is long acting: and if you were taking it regularly, it's metabolites could be detected in urine for weeks, which is what I assume you are really asking. Not sure how you are taking it, since it has been banned in the US for about 10 years. Depending on what test is used, it may not show up, since it is chemically different than usual opiates like oxycodone and hydrocodone. If they do GC/MS it will show up. ...Read more
