Is compensating hunger with mere water healthy? Especially when one is overweighted with fat and under fitness training. Thanks in anticipation.
Drink more water: For the most part, drinking more water is fine, especially when exercising. To deal w/hunger pangs from dieting, try to eat healthy even as you try to consume less. So eat more fruits & vegetables, especially those high in fiber. Lean protein at every meal will make it less likely for you to get hungry. Same for healthy fats such as olive oil & avocados (although I don't know equivalent in india). ...Read more

What do you advise if I'm looking for products similar to propel water or drinks with electrolytes that I can buy in drugstores or supermarket, what can you recommend?
Propel substitute: Propel contains water, Vitamins C, E B3, B5, B6 and B12. as well as calcium and potassium (K). All of the vitamins other than Vitamin E are water soluble. This means they cannot be stored by the body and any excess amounts of these are eliminated in the urine. A cheaper alternative is to ingest any citrus juice and take multivitamin pills that contain calcium. The juice will give you K. Good luck. ...Read more

Crap in a can--UGG!!: Did you read the ingredients? Water, artificial flavor and acid. Not only will too much rot your gut, but you'll destroy your teeth in the process. Not enough medically useful ingredients to do good; plenty of stuff to do bad. If you are working out. Drink water. Period. If I had to guess, i'd estimate that close to 80% of the dental disease I treat is from some marketed product to the-unaware. ...Read more

Does propel zero count as water? I have supplements that require me to drink 8 glasses of water daily and I was curious to know if propel zero counts
Yes and no: Propel zero is no calorie flavored water, but it also has electrolytes added, as does pedialyte that babies and toddlers drink. If your supplements are wanting you to drink free water because they need you to dilute out electrolytes they may contain, then no, the propel is not the stuff for you. If on the other hand, they just want you to be getting no calorie beverage, then it can count. ...Read more
Not likely...: Electrolyte-containing Propel water would not help a stone pass through ureter to bladder although vigorous increase in urine excretion by increasing oral fluid or diuretics or alpha-blocker has been touted, but not firmly proved, to speed up stone passage for decades. In general, a <4-mm stone may pass in 2 wks for 75-85% of times. More? Seek evaluation/ counseling timely. ...Read more
