Get examined!: At age 55 your most common cause for this pain would still be 'impingement' ( or bursitis). (nerve root, brachial plexus, peripheral nerve ) Sometimes traction to the ulnar nerve causes parasthesias down to the hand and discomfort around the elbow. A good neurological-exam possibly an EMG-NCS may need to be done to sort this out. ...Read more
