Okay: Steroids injections into the knee done no more frequently than every three months are generally safe during breastfeeding. Very little steroid gets into your breast milk. Oral medications for osteoarthritis need to be okayed by your OB or the doctor prescribing them. I prefer to advocate weight loss or weight control, modest exercise such as walking as long as it doesn't worsen the knee pain. ...Read more
