Any medication/ fillers can cause allergic reactions resembling infection. Some infections are more serious.Cellulitis: antibiotics/warm packs. Abscess: drainage. Allergy: antihistamines/steroids. ...Read more

Had pre-term labor from [email protected] with 1st pregnancy. Stress is no longer an issue. How likely is ptl again? Will I benefit from progesterone shots?
Unlikely: Progesterone shots are typically indicated for women who have had a prior preterm birth, versus preterm labor. Sometimes it's confusing, contractions and labor. Contractions are very common preterm, but don't always lead to labor (opening of the cervix). Discuss in detail with your doctor what actually happened to you in previous pregnancy and see what his/her advice is. Usually for pt birth. ...Read more

Is it safe to have sex at 32 weeks of pregnancy? My previous child was born at 32 weeks. I'm currently taking progesterone shots weekly.
Safe to have sex.: There should be no problem having sex at 32 weeks of pregnancy. It would probably be prudent not to try increased vigorous sex or unusual positions if you are not already used to it. 30wks pregnant stomach pains everyday over a month, like bad belly ache. I'm on a progesterone shot once a week. Hurts after wake up until I go to slee?
Talk to doctor: Most important is for your doctor to rule out pre-term labor as cause of these pains. Sound unlikely as cause given that you've had for 1 month, but ask doctor about it. Other problems could be related to gastrointestinal tract. Could be reflux as well, from the stomach. I would ask your doctor for thorough exam and history. In meantime could try otc antacids and see if helps. ...Read more

Patience...: A urine pregnancy test, done correctly, gives a reliable result 3 weeks after "sex" (3 weeks after when conception might have occurred), or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real but a negative result may be due to testing too soon, and thus lead to a repeat test. If a woman gets her normal regular period, then she is not pregnant, and a test is not needed. ...Read more
