No: Progesterone will not mask a miscarriage. Progesterone therapy will seldom prevent a miscarriage. Miscarriages are very common - occurring in 1/5 of pregnancies at least. Most miscarriages are due to large chromosomal/ genetic abnormalities which occur at conception. We have no control over these and they seem to be a matter of chance. If you miscarry once again there are further tests to do. ...Read more
