I am 19 years old and every time I get a sore throat, I produce excess saliva. Why and how can I prevent this? My family members do not get this.
Swallowing problem: I can't be specific without examing you, but my guess is that your sore throat is associated with swelling inthe back of your throat. The swelling decreases how quickly you can swallow the saliva that you are producing. I doubt that you are actually producing more saliva-but rather, not swallowing it as easily as normal. ...Read more
