I been taking proctofoam for almost 2 months now, i missed 2/3 nights when i was traveling, did i hurt my chances of treating my symptoms?
Ok to use Proctofoam: But just as important is to be sure to be eating a high fiber diet and most importantly drinking 80-100oz of caffeine free, alcohol free fluid daily, more if you workout strenuously. There are other meds that work better but if no repsonse to above after2 months you may need surgery to avoid complications such as an abscess. See a colorectal surgeon. ...Read more
I have painful, internal hemmorhoids and I am currently taking proctofoam hc. I haven't had a bm in 3 days. I know I have to go, but I am scared.?
Been taking proctofoam hc for few months now, its noted after while of use it can possibly get in bloodstream, if it does can it cause rashes on face?
Gi doc thought i had an anal fissure, prescribed proctofoam hc, taking 2 months now, fishy rectal odor still here, if hemrrhoids my next move should be ?
Anal fissure: Anal fissures cause pain and bleed with bowel movements. Odor and drainage, while possible, are more common with hemorrhoids. An exam under anesthesia (due to the pain issue) will be a benefit as your surgeon will be able to repair the fissure and hemorrhoids at the same time. Okay to get in for a surgery consult. Good luck. ...Read more
