If an HIV person masturbated towel unknowingly used to clean our penis may spread HIV ?

No: Arun, you're a grown man now. These concerns are unrealistic -- and truth be told, so is the scenario. Who in the world would do something like that? If someone is telling you, "This is how I got HIV", that person is probably not telling you the truth. Stop troubling yourself, practice basic common sense and good hygiene, and remember that experince shows casual contact doesn't spread HIV. ...Read more

Diagnosed HPV in Pap smear. Only 1 partner, recently had unprotected anal sex with him. HPV spreads to bum from vag? Anal cancer?

HPV spread: The Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) can produce vulvo-vaginal as well as anal lesions. If you have obvious growths a MD can treat them immediately to decrease your risk of spread. If untreated, anal cancers are a future possibility with the lesions. By the way, your boyfriend should see a MD as well to make sure he is HPV free or not before continuing sexual contact. ...Read more

Can hep b/c transmit between 2 men having anal sex & both men r uninfected with hep b/c? That is can anal sex between uninfected person cause hep b/c?

No: If every one in the group having anal sex is truly not infected at that time, no one would get hep b/c. The problem arises that if they were tested 4 weeks ago or a week ago & had sex after that with some one + then you are at risk no matter what the test showed. Chronic pelvic pain?: Chlamydia doesn't cause prostatitis, and is rarely acquired by oral sex -- maybe false positive test? Maybe chronic pelvic pain syndrome, or genital anxiety, not true prostatitis. You've been asking repeated questions. Follow your doctor's advice, or see an infectious diseases specialist or urologist. Your situation is too complex for a forum like this; don't expect any further advice. Good luck. ...Read more

Oral sex. Tested 2 wks for std and ngu. clear. No discharge.Returned to clinic as tip of urethra irritated. swab= 7wbc=ngu. 1st ngu test wrong?

Maybe: Life is not exact. Tests are not perfect. Tests have false positives and false negatives... which is why their results must be interpreted in the context of a patient's symptoms, clinical situation, and risk factors. A positive result matching the symptoms is likely to be a valid result. A negative result matching the lack of symptoms is likely to be valid. Sometimes the unexpected happens in life ...Read more

Can STD's like: AIDs,HPV,Gonorrhea, syphlis transmit through external genital contact and no penetration -no sexual intercourse?

Rarely for some STDs: Thanks for your question. Very low risk for all STDs and zero risk for some. No risk -- at least low enough to be ignored -- for STDs passed by genital fluids (gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, hepatitis B). STDs that are transmitted skin-to-skin (herpes, HPV, syphilis) could be transmitted, but very rarely even for these. I hope this helps. Stay safe! ...Read more
