How effective is procentra for treating adhd? What's the diff between procentra and Dexedrine (dextroamphetamine)?
Both are amphetamine:
Both Procentra and Dexedrine (dextroamphetamine) are d- (or dextro-) amphetamine. Their differences are essentially cosmetic (packaging, labeling, formulation, solution vs solid form).
Procentra effectiveness is identical to that of Dexedrine (dextroamphetamine) because they contain the same drug.
Amphetamines are very effective for some types of ADHD. There are other types of ADHD that do not respond to amphetamine. ...Read more
I am a female and im taking provestra now for about a week I don't feel that is working, so I would like to know how highly would you recommend it?
Don't recommend it: Dietary supplement manufacturers are not required to prove their miraculous claims, much less the safety of their products. All they have to do is promise you the world so that they can take your money. With that said, you didn't mention why you're taking this supplement. It's like putting gasoline in a diesel engine car. Good fuel but wrong one. Also did you take it long enough? 7 days seems shor. ...Read more

I started taking generic ritalin (methylphenidate). My head fels swollen. I can't do my yoga that puts my head below my waist. I take procera avh. Is something wrong?
Stop the AVH: Try Ritalin (methylphenidate) without the avh. Acetyl-l-carnitine, vinpocetine and huperzine-a are active in the central nervous system. You may be having an interaction side effect of overstimulation. Find best dose of Ritalin (methylphenidate) first then consult doc about avh. I would advise against mixing "naturopathic" chemicals with prescription meds. ...Read more

Do not mix these.:
Both of these are supplements, which means they are unregulated and untested. Based on the ingredients they report to have, you could have a serious interaction. Brainalert has also been found potentially dangerous by the FDA:

Please do not mix these with Prozac. Speak to your prescriber if you have cognitive concerns. ...Read more
Mother has mild to moderate vascular dementia and has had some Tia's. Would procera counteract with her Zoloft (sertraline)? Looking for a product to help memory.
Simple approach: First, vascular dementia is result of multiple brain infarcts, and continuing TIA's indicate huge risk of further strokes. Would use a protective agent such as clopidigrel or Aggrenox, and for the memory, donepezil and galantamine (galantamine hydrobromide) have both been shown to be of some help with the cognitive consequences. Look closely at purported need for procera and Zoloft, as these maybe able to be eliminated ...Read more
