Any suggestions for treating chronic nausea and vomiting with fibromyalgia?

Any suggestions for treating chronic nausea and vomiting with fibromyalgia?

Find cause of N & V.: Fibromyalgia is a syndrome of generalized pain and weakness in numerous parts of body. It is called a syndrome because one can not find any objective evidence of a problem. One mistake the pt and doc make is that once a person is labelled as having "fibromyalgia", there is a trap other sx are part of the syndrome: n & v is not. Doc needs to look for true cause, then rx will become clear. ...Read more

What are the extraintestinal symptoms of IBS-C? Can patients experience fatigue, poor sleep, headaches, back pain, and heart palpitations?

What are the extraintestinal symptoms of IBS-C? Can patients experience fatigue, poor sleep, headaches, back pain, and heart palpitations?

Limited to bowel: Technically speaking, IBS-C (constipation predominant) shd only affect the bowels. IBS isn't a systemic disease like IBD (inflammatory bowel disease - Crohn's or Ulcerative Colitis). That being said, IBS can certainly cause anxiety / panic disorder (it has a way of affecting the mind, sleep, & there4 personality), which can then explain the symptoms u describe. Can pheochromocytoma cause restlessness, sleep problems and brain fog among other symptoms?

Can pheochromocytoma cause restlessness, sleep problems and brain fog among other symptoms?

Rare happens rarely: The most common symptom of a pheo is high blood pressure; tho sometimes this even is not present. Classically pheo presents with headaches, sweating and rapid heart rate, but insomnia and restlessness can occur; I hesitate in using the word "common" w/ pheo, as most docs will go an entire career and never see a case. Other, more frequently seen conditions should be checked for first. ...Read more

Is this hyperthyroidism?
Symptoms include: insomnia, weight loss, eczema-chin, hunger, tsh: 1.51, strong tremors, anxiety, polyuria, weak upper str.

Probably Not: If your TSH is 1.51, then you are not hyperthyroid. I would see your doctor and ask him to evaluate you in person - he will probably want to order labs to rule out diabetes, which can cause weight loss and polyuria. If you have underlying anxiety, that can cause your tremors and insomnia. Find a doctor you are comfortable with and make an appt. ...Read more
