I am not a virgin...If I go to a gynecologist to diganose my problem..Will it b known to her dat I am not virgin?

Of course! But ...: The doctor will know a patient is not a virgin the minute the patient tells the doctor! of course, if the patient doesn't tell the doctor, the doctor won't know, and will have to ask the patient, or will have to guess. On the other hand, the virginity thing is highly over-rated, and not very important except in issues of pregnancy, std's, psychological symptoms, and unfortunately, sexual assaults. ...Read more

I have a Vinegar smelling discharge. I've gone to my gynecologist twice for this problem, and my results come back as normal. Is this smell normal?

Acidic foods?: It's good that your test results are normal. So, you don't have to worry. Our diets definitely can change body fluid aroma. Perhaps you are eating more acidic foods. A very dilute baking soda solution in warm water as a gentle wash may balance the pH. But it may just be your personal signature healthy smell. Glad you are okay! ...Read more

I will soon be entering college. When do I need to first see a gynecologist? I am not sexually active or having any problems.

Now: It is probably good to establish a relationship with your gynecologist before there is a real problem. There are lots of things to discuss before going off to college: contraception, cycle control, hpv vaccination, menstrual health, sexual activity. Etc. I have all the symptoms of thyroid problems but my tests come back normal. Saw my gynecologist and she found cysts? Could that be why I feel sluggish?

Definitely!: Most doctors rely on TSH alone to assess thyroid. If you have cysts/nodules...you need a full work-up including ultrasound (if not already done), TSH, free T4, free T3, (liothyronine) Reverse T3, (liothyronine) Thyroglobulin and Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies, SHBG (sex hormone binding globulin), ferritin levels, selenium, and iodine levels. I have a ovarian cyst of 5cm on my left side. The gynecologist prescribed Provera for 3 months. After completing this it’s been a month later. I have pain in my right side as well and bleeding. My gynea can only see me in July. Is it a problem?

Ovarian cyst: Provera is a synthetic progesterone, and will not affect an ovarian cyst. Your cycles will be affected and not always regular, as progestins can inhibit ovulation. If you finished the treatment, your cycle may resume, and bleeding will occur. The pain may occur with another ovarian cyst on the right. Oral birth control pills may control the formation of ovarian cysts. Ask your gyn provider. ...Read more

Why are bumps popping up on my vagina periodically when my Gynecologist says its not Herpes? I've had problems with bacterial vaginosis lately also...

Description is vague: It sounds like you have seen your Gyn and have had herpes ruled out. Depending on the location of the bumps, has HPV been ruled out? Sometimes friction or mild infection can cause mild blockage of the mucous glands or oil glands which could present as small bumps. Are you referring to normal vaginal folds? If they are painful, and you have already been evaluated, I recommend a second opinion. ...Read more
