Probiotics: Most people don't need probiotics after taking a course of antibiotics, since the normal bacterial flora of the gut repopulates rapidly after stopping antibiotics. If you have a history of C. difficile, it may be useful to take probiotics, however. Otherwise, studies do not support their routine use. Yeast infection: You do not say whether you have used anti-fungals in your treatment, either topically or orally. That is the best way to treat Candida vulvovaginitis. Iron is highly unlikely to have anything to do with this. If you persist despite this you may be being reinfected by your sexual partner and they could be treated as well.
