Can I drink alcohol while I am on Primolut N?

Can I drink alcohol while I am on Primolut N?

A little bit.: A small amount of alcohol should be okay, if you have normal liver function and are not taking any other medications or using any other recr. Substances. Too much alcohol or liver disease or mixing meds may cause all sorts of problems, not just with Primolut-N (norethisterone). See a great page for detailed info on this medicine. Https://www. Norethisterone: Primolut n is a brand of generic norethisterone which is a progestin used as a hormonal contraceptive. All medications ; dietary supplements have some risks. Whether potential risks exceed desired benefit is a question to be addressed w/your prescribing physician. Given that it's approved for sale in many countries, i'd say it's relatively safe. Does Primolut work to bring the period forward?

Does Primolut work to bring the period forward?

Norethisterone: It's not actually the presence of Primolut (norethisterone) that brings the period, but actually the removal of the medication. Your body gets used to having it for a few days and when it's gone, it signals the body to shed the uterine lining. Norethisterone is the same signal that your ovaries secrete when an egg is released and if no pregnancy occurs, that signal stops, also leading to a period. ...Read more

I have just started Primolut for inter cycle bleeding. When I stop taking this medication will my cycle continue from cd19 or start again from cd1?

Depends: Most likely you will trigger a withdrawal bleed after stopping it. The first day of bleeding would then be considered day 1. If it hasn't happened at that point, testing is indicated to see if there is a reason for a low estrogen ...Read more

Hi, I had done my IUI in 6th, 7th december 8th december my dr give me Primolut 5 mg tab for 10 days...I want to know why my dr give me Primolut tab?

Be careful: Presumably your doctor gave you this medication since he/she wanted to put you on Progesterone after the iui. This is fine when started appropriately. The Primolut is an artificial Progesterone and should never be taken during pregnancy. Only natural Progesterone or synthetic versions of natural Progesterone should be used. Primolut is fine to bring on the period though. ...Read more

Alcohol = a toxin: No matter how enjoyable even moderate alcohol drinking may be, the fact remains that it is a toxin for your body -- especially liver and brain. Essentially you're asking your body to process a poison. So, your body will be less efficient both during intoxication and until all traces of alcohol have been processed.
