Dr. Keith Hansen answered:

Does hcg injection delayed menstrual period?

Hcg

Pain_medication
Yes hcg administration can delay the menstrual cycle depending on when it is given. HCG is the hormone made by the placenta that maintains the corpus luteum, which then makes estrogen and progesterone to maintain a pregnancy. So if a hcg injection is given in the late luteal phase it can delay a menstrual cycle.

What are the reasons of delayed menstrual period at 13?

Varies

Menstrual
Some will not have their first cycle until 2.5-3 years after nipple enlargement starts, so a 13 year old may just be delayed in starting. If she has started, often the first year or 2 there can be up to 90 days between cycles because they do not ovulate with each cycle.Discuss this with her doc to see if any testing is needed.
