Threatened abortion: Until the levels are dropping or you are passing tissue it is just a threatened abortion. Miscarriages/ spontaneous abortions usually occur because there is something very serious the matter with the baby and are not due to anything you did or didn't do. Always remember that. Best wishes. ...Read more
Have been spotting for 16days, had two blood pregnancy test but it is weakly positive. On du photon for 2weeks now could it be threatened abortion. ?
Diagnosed with threatened abortion. 7 wks along, major cramping, bleeding and passing clots. Had blood drawn today. Am I have a miscarriage?
Not always: A diagnosis of "threatened abortion" indicates that you've experienced cramping/bleeding during pregnancy that raise concern for possible miscarriage, however your exam shows a closed cervix and a fetal heartbeat indicating that things might still be just fine. Threatened abortions can resolve and normal, healthy pregnancies result afterwards. Be seen by your OB for any further bleeding/pain. ...Read more

Norethisterone: It's not actually the presence of Primolut (norethisterone) that brings the period, but actually the removal of the medication. Your body gets used to having it for a few days and when it's gone, it signals the body to shed the uterine lining. Norethisterone is the same signal that your ovaries secrete when an egg is released and if no pregnancy occurs, that signal stops, also leading to a period. ...Read more

Depends: Most likely you will trigger a withdrawal bleed after stopping it. The first day of bleeding would then be considered day 1. This will vary depending on the dose, duration and your baseline hormonal function. The best thing to do is not worry about it and see what happens over the next month or so. ...Read more

Menopause?: U don't mention your age. In order to have periods the ovary has to produce estrogen to make a uterine lining grow. A progestin such as primolut, makes the lining mature. After the progestin level falls, the lining sloughs off (a period occurs. It can take a week to 10 days for this to happen. If it hasn't happened at that point, testing is indicated to see if there is a reason for a low estrogen ...Read more
Hi , i had done my IUI in 6th, 7th december 8th december my dr give me Primolut 5 mg tab for 10 days...I want to know why my dr give me Primolut tab?
Be careful: Presumably your doctor gave you this medication since he/she wanted to put you on Progesterone after the iui. This is fine when started appropriately. The Primolut is an artificial Progesterone and should never be taken during pregnancy. Only natural Progesterone or synthetic versions of natural Progesterone should be used. Primolut is fine to bring on the period though. ...Read more
Norethisterone: Primolut n is a brand of generic norethisterone which is a progestin used as a hormonal contraceptive. All medications ; dietary supplements have some risks. Whether potential risks exceed desired benefit is a question to be addressed w/your prescribing physician.
