Get diagnosed: Your jerks might represent myoclonus, and unlikely that Primidone is culprit, as it usually suppresses tremors, and focal seizures. But in some cases, older anti-epileptic drugs, especially those metabolized to barbiturates, could worsen myoclonus. Get this phenomenon diagnosed, and revise therapy as needed. Does not work: Phenobarbital is a sedative and can only put you to sleep and drowsy during daytime.. It is often used for convulsions also. It does not work for IBS. Please talk to your doctor to try some of the newer medicines and see if they work.
