I drink a tad over 1 glass of wine (6 ounces)most nights of the week. I also have IFG. Will the wine HELP or HURT my fight against preventing Diabetes?
Honestly, the answer: depends on how much you are able to eliminate other carbohydrates from your diet. A 6 ounce glass of wine contains about 150 calories and 5 grams of carbohydrate. This is certainly manageable and will not adversely affect your efforts in diabetes prevention as long as you keep other carbs in check.
