It's my first time using BC and I want to prevent any possible side effects,is there anything I should do or take in order to reduce my chances?
Stay healthy: Eat balanced, healthy meals, exercise regularly, and be happy! A good, positive attitude in life goes a long way on how people can tolerate medications as well. Are there any such things as medicine that prevents side effects? I've heard you get side effects from the way your body gets rid of the medication?
No general cure: There is no general answer to this question. There are a variety of reasons medications can cause side effects. Sometimes medications will be given to limit or treat adverse effects, but my general practice is to avoid using additional medications to treat adverse effects. I think this leads to over-medication and can cause more complex medication problems. ...Read more

How slow must one withdraw from Abilify (aripiprazole) in order to prevent long term side effects and withdrawal effects?
Best if you talk w/: Your prescribing dr should know your plan and provide advice and monitoring. But if you must do it yourseld - do it w/ great patience. Step down week by week 5 mg. This may even be too fast, so if you notice problems, slow it more for a week. It is advised that you do not decide to use Abilify (aripiprazole) again in the future - so be pretty sure about this. http://waysandhow.com/how-to-stop-taking-abilify. ...Read more
Is it reasonable to take L-lysine capsules daily(about 1500mg) to prevent latent herpese viruses? Any side-effects should I be aware of?
Yes, but it's not: necessarily effective. l-lysine may decrease the number & duration of HSV I (cold) sore outbreaks, but not necessarily HSV II (genital herpes). l-lysine can increase the amount of calcium your body absorbs. While food (like dairy) isn't a problem, a healthy young guy like you shouldn't take calcium supplements at the same time. This includes calcium-containing antacids. ...Read more
How do I stop being scared of the "possible side effects" on medication. It prevents me from taking prescriptions for my sickness (respitory) advice?
Side effects: Your concern is understandable. Talk w/your doc about a very gradual introduction of medication. When you see that you are doing ok you can become more confident. Alternatively, you can work with a natural doctor who can help you with natural supplements but both docs need to communicate. The very best to you. ...Read more
