It's my first time using BC and I want to prevent any possible side effects,is there anything I should do or take in order to reduce my chances?

Sometimes medications will be given to limit or treat adverse effects, but my general practice is to avoid using additional medications to treat adverse effects. Osteoporosis: Bone loss is a side-effect of Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) which resolves after discontinuing it. It can be helped by doing weight bearing exercise, getting plenty of calcium, and avoiding carbonated beverages and cigarette smoke. How slow must one withdraw from Abilify (aripiprazole) in order to prevent long term side effects and withdrawal effects?
Best if you talk w/: Your prescribing dr should know your plan and provide advice and monitoring. But if you must do it yourseld - do it w/ great patience. Step down week by week 5 mg. This may even be too fast, so if you notice problems, slow it more for a week. Yes, but it's not: necessarily effective. l-lysine may decrease the number & duration of HSV I (cold) sore outbreaks, but not necessarily HSV II (genital herpes). l-lysine can increase the amount of calcium your body absorbs. While food (like dairy) isn't a problem, a healthy young guy like you shouldn't take calcium supplements at the same time. This includes calcium-containing antacids. ...Read more
