It depends: For razor bumps, use an after-shave lotion, let it dry and place a small amount of baby powder over it. For "sunspots", wear sunscreen to prevent worsening. Also, check to ensure it isn't tinea versicolor, a fungal skin infection often noticeable after being in warmth. Tinea will improve with anti fungals like selsun blue. True sunspots will often improve by using a hydroquinone lotion. ...Read more
Can impede healing: Best thing to do after the initial disinfection with soap or alcohol is to apply petroleum ointment (plain vaseline) at least twice daily until the skin has re-epithelized (about 5-7days). Hydrogen peroxide can be harmful to the healing skin, antibiotic ointments increase the risk of allergic contact dermatitis, alcohol can dry out the wound resulting in a scab which can also slow down healing. ...Read more
Can you get red spots on hands from tiny paper cuts after exposure to acidic substances such as lemon juice?
Cannot diagnose: Without seeing these have no way of knowing what they might be. Applying acids to open wounds is certainly likely to induce inflammation and i bet it doesn't feel good. Inflammation will create redness. Good luck and stop putting acids on these. That would be a negative proof if they did not recur. ...Read more

Flushing: Flushing is usually associated with rosacea. Though there's no way to eliminate rosacea, effective treatment can relieve signs and symptoms. Most often this requires a combination of prescription treatments and certain lifestyle changes on your part. Would the CO2 laser I'm getting for raised acne scars get rid of the redness. Skin turns red with slightest rubbing or touching...
No: The CO2 laser will not address the redness of your skin. Redness is usually due to telangiectasias , flushing, or rosacea. A different laser wavelength would be necessary to reduce redness (i.e., Pulsed dye lasers, Intense pulsed light, etc.). In fact, your redness will be slightly increased during the healing process. ...Read more
