I hurt everywhere my chest my lower back my joints in my fingers and my head. I want to take nyquil so i can sleep and i want to take Mucinex (guaifenesin) to help with the chest pressure. Is it ok to take these 2 medicines at the same time?

I hurt everywhere my chest my lower back my joints in my fingers and my head.  I want to take nyquil so i can sleep and i want to take Mucinex (guaifenesin) to help with the chest pressure.  Is it ok to take these 2 medicines at the same time?

Be careful: Nyquil and Mucinex (guaifenesin) are name brands for a "brand" of medication, and many of them have similar ingredients

ie: Mucinex (guaifenesin) may have guaifenisen, dextromethorhan, pseudoephedrine, etc.

The other nyquil product may have the exact same or similar medications leading to a possible overdose.

Best to check with your doctor or a pharmacist prior toopping a bunch of pills. ...Read more

Took pseudoephedrine for stuffy head - taking, buspar, (buspirone) metoprolol, hztz and metformin - feeling warm and mild chest pressure - pharmacist said should be no problem but getting concerned about how I am feeling now.

Intolerance: Hard to know what is mixing with what etc.. The good news is that it shouldn't last that long and i would be very surprised if any lasting harm was done. Perhaps in the future simply use a nasal spray or some natural decongestants? ...Read more

Conditions: which can produce the symptoms you mention are gallbladder and hiatus hernia (a portion of your stomach herniates into your chest thru the diaphragm)
