Presence Of Gram Negative Bacilli In Vaginal Discharge Means
Vaginal discharge. Moderate numbers of leucocytes, large numbers gram positive bacilli. Concerned?
Discharge can be a noun or a verb; it has multiple meanings in physics, chemistry, military, and legal usage. The most common medical meaning is a substance that is being excreted. Examples: pus is the discharge from a pimple; a vaginal discharge can mean infection; an ear discharge can mean an infection of the outer ear tract; a nasal discharge ...Read more
Vaginal discharge, & hv the gram stain result: smear shows few gram neg bacili n sngles, few gram pos cocci n sngles n mode8 epthelial cels n pus nted?
Yes: But also consider whether a better form of contraception might be needed.
Vaginal swab shows I have moderate gram positive bacilli and cocci moderate gram negative bacilli and few leucocyte. What does this mean?
Nothing: That is normal. This helps rule out a few things. If you are having symptoms, your physician will keep looking.
Hormonal Fluctuation: It is common to have hormonal fluctuations that cause pregnancy like symptoms. If you missed your cycle and have tested negative, repeat test 1 week after you were due for cycle. If symptoms persist, see your PCP/GYN.
What does it mean when you have a high white blood cell count in a vaginal discharge. I was STD tested and they came back negative. I was tested for trich, gonnorhea, and chlymdia?
Other ones: Were you tested for BV (bacterial vaginosis), mycoplasma, ureaplasma? While gonorrhea/chlamydia is a lab test, trich is usually done in the office and may be missed. There is affirm test that uses dna method of detection for bv, trich and yeast that is more sensitive in my experience. Also, ureaplasma and mycoplasma are the infections not tested for and often not considered by providers.
Not much: It just means that you had some leftover blood in the back of the vagina that is now coming out after you finished your period. Brown just indicates old blood which has been sitting at the back of the vagina for awhile.
Various causes: Vaginal discharge requires an examination to determine the cause and treatment. Bacterial vaginosis is the most common cause and often has a vaginal odor. Vaginal itching can be a sign of a yeast infection. Sometimes vaginal discharge can be a sign of a sexual transmitted infection. Testing is important to determine the treatment and keep you and your partner safe.
Vaginal discharge: A discharge as you describe may be simple mucus mixed with light spotting (blood turns brown quickly) and may be just ovulatory bleeding. Check with your healthcare professional for testing to make sure.See 1 more doctor answer
Discharge: Unfortunately, neither the color, nor the smell of the discharge is diagnostic of any disorder. It needs to be tested to know what it may be.
See below: It usually is a sign of old menstrual blood.
See answer: Vaginal odor may vary throughout your menstrual cycle and may be especially noticeable right after having sex. Poor vaginal hygiene as well. Bacterial vaginosis (an overgrowth of normally occurring vaginal bacteria) is the most common vaginal infection that causes a vaginal odor. Trichomoniasis (STD) also can cause a vaginal odor whereas chlamydia, gonorrhea, and yeast infections generally do not.
Probably Unrelated: During periods, we shed the inner lining of the uterus -- the endometrium -- if we're not pregnant. Sometimes that shed layer may not come out for a day or two & can turn brown. So can be normal; why it changed, I can't say. If you are having low pelvic pain, the discharge is unusually foul smelling, or your have a fever, though, it could be an infection -- then see an ob/gyn! Good luck!
What does a thick bloody vaginal discharge mean? I'm also in a lot of discomfort and it is painful to urinate.
Evaluation: Could mean infection. Should get tested by your family doctor or gynecologist.
I've been having a light red vaginal discharge. I've been having unprotected sex for almost 2 months. What can this mean?
Vag discharge: After two months of unprotected sex, this could be a sexually transmitted infection or an early pregancy. Time to see your doctor.
I had my last period on 24th march and today I noticed transparent sticky vaginal discharge I also protected sex yesterday what does it mean?
Vaginal discharge: In women who are premenopausal, it is normal to have 2 to 5 mL of white or clear, thick, mucus-like, and mostly odorless vaginal discharge every day. However, the amount and consistency of the discharge varies from one woman to another. The amount can also vary at different times during the menstrual cycle. It may become more noticeable at certain times, such as pregnancy, near ovulation, BC
